The thought of seeking talk therapy from a clinician may feel foreign and perhaps even uncomfortable for people of color. Afterall, many of us have historically been pressured into believing that to be strong is to do it all by ourselves. But, we know this is not true.
That’s why DRK Beauty Healing is here to change this colonial narrative and mindset. Because we believe healing, in all forms, is our birthright. It’s YOUR birthright.
As a part of our mission to support and celebrate people of color, DRK Beauty Healing is delivering affordable and accessible talk therapy to women and non-binary people of color across America. We’re here to help you take back your power and get started on creating your unique path to healing.
So, what are you waiting for? If you would like to try therapy but find yourself feeling hesitant for whatever reason, don’t worry. We got you! You can start by exploring our Directory of Clinicians to connect with a local therapist in your state for free. Just follow the three simple steps outlined below!
3 Easy Steps to Connect with a Clinician!
Step 1:
Explore the directory and search for available therapists in your local state. Use the search field to help you sort through the list.

Choose a therapist in your local state with available pro bono hours and directly connect with them using the contact details listed in their profile. Be sure to notify the clinician that you are requesting free services via the DRK Beauty Healing program.
Step 1:
If you cannot find a clinician in your state with available pro bono services at this time, please email Team DRK Beauty Healing at healing@thisisdrkbeauty.com to receive additional support and explore alternative options.
Please note: Each clinician will have a different intake process. Once you and your clinician have established the terms of your counseling, you can begin your therapy sessions via telephone, video, or in-person.
